No matter which Adobe Open Options software licensing program you choose, the optional
Upgrade Plan adds an even deeper level of protection and value. Enrolment into the plan ensures that you always
receive the latest versions of the software over the covered period at a single cost per licensed product. The
Upgrade Plan does not just apply to new licenses, any previously acquired current version license can also be enrolled
into the scheme. Upgrade Plan brings all your installations into a unified technology management program, thus
ensuring both budget and technology predictability.
How does the Upgrade Plan work?
Once your licenses are enrolled Adobe will automatically send notification of upgrades available,
taking the hassle out of keeping on top of version changes. This allows uniform management on upgrades across your organisation ,
avoiding piecemeal implementation and technology inconsistency. Adding the Upgrade Plan can lower your overall software
costs because it contributes to the points accumulated in Open Options.
How to order Upgrade Plan
By purchasing maintenance with your new licenses you enter into the Upgrade Plan. This entitles
customers to all enhancements, bug fixes, updates and upgrades. The term of the program is two years plus the number of days
that are required to complete the calendar quarter. For Example, if you enrol on 21 October, the maintenance will run out on 31
October, 2 years later. Once the 2 year period has expired you have the option to renew the maintenance for another 1 or 2
years.
Customers can also take advantage of purchasing maintenance for previous licenses purchases that are still
on the current version. This does not apply to retail copies they may have.
